Faizabad, Oct 17(PTI) An youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death after losing a gambling match on the occasion of Diwali.

Amit Singh(24), a resident of Bikapur town here hanged himself to death last night after he lost around Rs 7,000 in gambling.

According to the locals, Amit on Friday late evening had gone to Faizabad city for gambling, but he lost money, which he took himself from his house.

Station Officer of Bikapur Kotwali police station AK Singh said,"Amit's family member found his body hanging with a rope through ceiling in his room on Saturday morning.
