Kolkata, Oct 19 (PTI) Air-India would start its flights from Kolkata to Jeddah for Haj pilgrims tomorrow.

Sources in the airline said two jumbo-jets of Boeing 747 would fly daily from the airport here at 12.45 pm and 6.15 pm till November 13.

A total of 10,575 pilgrims would fly from here. Another 5706 pilgrims from Patna and 2630 pilgrims from Ranchi would be brought here to take to Jeddah, airport sources said.

Director of NSC Bose International airport, R Srinivasan said an extra lounge with a seating capacity of 430 passengers has been opened for the pilgrims at the international terminal of the airport.

Besides, banking facility, telephone booths, toilets, separate luggage checking counters, three immigration counters and two customs counters have been opened to facilitate the pilgrims, he said.
