Lucknow, Oct 24 (PTI) A beheaded body of a student from Ghaziabad was found on the railway tracks in Alambagh area here, police said today.

Body of Irfan Ali (23), who went missing after leaving his Ghaziabad house on October 20, was recovered from railway tracks on Thursday night.

"The identity of the victim was ascertained yesterday on the basis of mobile phone and a bag recovered a few metres away from the place where the body was found," police said.

The SIM card of his mobile phone was missinng.

Police said Irfan was pursuing MBA through correspondence from Manipal University, Sikkim.

His family had lodged a missing report with Sahibabad police station.
