Chandigarh, Oct 25 (PTI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today asked the younger generation to shun fast food and develop a taste for traditional Punjabi fare which is rich in nutritional value.

"It is high time the younger generation began to spurn the culture of fast food and savour the taste of our traditional food," Badal said addressing a gathering at a traditional food festival "Bebe Di Rasoi" here.

He hoped that the food festival would offer a chance to the urban youth to experience the rich taste of traditional Punjabi fare like Makke di Roti and Sarson da Saag and help them give up the culture of gorging on pizzas, noodles, burgers and pastas.
