Kathmandu, Oct 25 (PTI)
Nepal and China plan to jointly check the flow of illegal wildlife products to the Communist nation, amid reports that tiger skins and parts sourced from India are smuggled there through Nepalese territories.

The two countries are set to sign a pact to check the smuggling of animal products. Deepak Bohra, Nepal's Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation, said "We have forwarded a draft of the Memorandum of understanding to the Chinese officials and we hope to sign it in December."

Being aware about the illegal trade of animals to China via Nepal and the country becoming a hub for those involved in animal part trade, the measures are taken, Bohra told reporters ahead of a global tiger workshop to kick off in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
