Ahmedabad, Oct 25 (PTI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by senior officials and representatives from industry, left for a three-day special visit to Russia where he would participate in the World Energy Week starting from tomorrow.

During the three-day visit, Modi and other delegation members will hold meetings with the representatives of many companies engaged in the energy sector.

"During the meeting with the officials of companies, the CM will explore the opportunities in oil, gas and clean energy sectors and how Gujarat can tie up with foreign companies," a senior official in the state government said today.

He added that the state-owned Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) is likely to sign memorandum of understanding (MoU) with several companies for exploration and production of hydrocarbon products in India and abroad.
