Ranchi, Oct 26 (PTI) Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha today said the party would fight resolutely in the coming assembly elections to come to power in Jharkhand.

"We are ready for the elections and will fight strongly," Sinha, who attended a party meeting on Jharkhand in Delhi earlier in the day, told newsmen at the airport here.

Jharkhand is going for a five-phase elections from November 27, the second assembly elections after the state's creation in 2000, after a nine-month stint of President's Rule.

In 2005, the BJP-led NDA had formed the government before it lost power to the UPA midway.

"We are confident that the people will vote for us and help BJP regain power to give good governance," Sinha added.

After the Lok Sabha drubbing, the BJP bit the dust in the just concluded assembly polls in Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh and Haryana where the Congress came to power.
