New Delhi, Oct 26 (PTI) Drawing flak from all quarters for the tardy pace of preparation of next year's Commonwealth Games, the Indian government has roped in foreign experts to design the Jawaharlal Nehru and Talkatora stadiums here.

The Jahawaharlal Stadium would hold the inaugural as well as the closing ceremonies of the sporting extravaganza, while Talkatora Stadium would host the aquatic events.

"For the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, we have experts from Germany, America and South America. Roof fabrication for the stadium has been done from Mexico," Sports Minister M S Gill said after inspecting the venue today.

"For the swimming pool complex, experts from Germany, France, Belgium, Australia are working while experts from India are also involved. We will produce a world class event," he said.
