Meanwhile, Prahalad Joshi, state BJP general secretary and MP, said there was "no danger" to the BJP government in the state and it was "quite stable".

Talking to reporters at Yaadawad village in Dharwad district, he said though there were "slight differences of opinion with some ministers, it was not at the level of destabilising the government".

On the report of some ministers being "unhappy" with Yeddyurappa's leadership and wanting a "change of leadership", he termed it as "totally incorrect". "It is only the creation of the media."

Joshi said the party leadership was making all efforts to resolve the "differences" with the ministers, who had raised the issue about "change of leadership".

On the possibility of Jagadish Shettar, the assembly Speaker, taking over the leadership, he said "it is very remote at this time.
