Panaji, Oct 26(PTI) Even as Goa Police await the post -mortem report to ascertain the cause of death of a British tourist here, a parallel enquiry has been started by investigators on a friend accompanying him.

Ajay Kaushal, an Indian origin person with UK citizenship, had travelled to Goa along with British William Scott, who was found dead near Colva beach yesterday.

The police are investigating whether Kaushal is the same person, who is on the run from the UK, where he is wanted for a kidnapping some six years back.

The Lancashire-based websites and British media reports have mentioned the name of one Ajay Kaushal, who was on the run from British police.

Police said Ajay with whom they interacted was from Manchester, UK and was in Bangkok with Scott.

Kaushal owns a real estate business in Bangkok, Police Superintendent Atmaram Deshpande told reporters this evening.
