Patna, Oct 27 (PTI) Four more cases of swine flu have been detected in Bihar, prompting the state health authorities to step up measures to check further spread of the virus.

The four are being treated at the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), Health Department sources said.

Bihar has so far recorded 10 swine flu cases which were treated successfully, they said, adding another patient suffering from the flu was admitted at the Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH) here.

State Health minister Nand Kishore Yadav said his department had stepped up measures to check further spread of the virus."We are in the process of equipping isolated wards with sophisticated equipment, besides installing ventilators at all medical colleges hospitals in Bihar".



"Special care is being taken for arranging for medical examination of tourists who are expected to throng forthcoming Sonepur cattle fair in the state in large numbers.
