Darbhanga, Oct 27 (PTI) A 15-month-old child was killed and two others were injured, when dacoits shot at them at in Bihar's Darbhanga district, police said today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Dilip Kumar Mishra said that over a dozen masked persons entered the house of one Rajendra Sah, a goldsmith around midnight last night at Gaunsaghat village and looted jewellery worth Rs five lakh.

The dacoits fired indiscriminately after one of their accomplice was caught by Rajendra Sah's son Lalit Sah, the DSP said.

In the firing Aryan (15 month) the grandson of Rajendra Sah was killed, while Lalit and Rajendra received bullet injuries, he said.

Rajendra has been admitted to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Mishra said adding that Lalit has been referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in a serious condition.
