Srinagar, Oct 27 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir government today reviewed the process of grant of employment by the Railways to persons whose land have been taken for the Anantnag-Qazigund rail project.

A policy decision has already been taken under which the person whose land to the extent of 75 per cent has been acquired shall be entitled to a job subject to fulfilment of certain conditions, an official spokesman said.

Such persons are recommended to the Railways for employment by the state government.

He said that in this regard a total of 581 applications have been received till date, out of which 375 cases have been scrutinised.

Officials told Revenue Minister Raman Bhalla that so far 303 persons have been appointed under this scheme in the Railways while 22 cases are awaiting verification of their educational certificates.
