Jaipur, Nov 1 (PTI) Rajasthan Governor S K Singh and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today greeted the people of the state on the eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti.

Singh in his message said that Guru Nanak created atmostphere of harmony among people and tried to remove social evils through his teachings.

"His preachings which are relevent today inspire us to maintain harmony, and will always teach us to work for human welfare," he said.

In his message, Gehlot said that Guru Nanak Dev set high social values and showed right path to the society.

He said that citizens should contribute in nation's progress and prosperity by adopting the preachings of Guru Nanak Dev of peace and unity which are relevent today.
