Farukkhabad, Nov 3 (PTI) Indian Industries Association, a representative body of small and medium industries, has decided to set up a textile park in Farukkhabad, famous for textile printing.

"The IIA will set up a textile park on 400 acre land in Dheerpur area for screen printing of textile. This will be the first of its kind project in the state," District Udyog Kendra General Manager Haridwari Ram said here.

He said over 200 entrepreneurs have given their consent to set up their units in the proposed textile park.

"The park will not only give a fillip to textile industry, but will also provide employment to over 20,000 people," Ram said.

Farukkhabad district is known for its traditional textile printing works, which is the main occupation for thousands of households in the district, he added.
