STAFF WRITER 18:3 HRS IST

Patna, Nov 4 (PTI) Ruling out any change in the party's leadership and removal of S K Modi as Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, senior BJP leader Sayed Shahnawaz Hussain today said no such demand was under consideration at top level.

"There is no plan to change Modi...the party's national leadership has not received any such demand from any section," Shahnawaz told reporters here.

Modi said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ruled out the possibility of enacting any legislation to protect sharecroppers.

A section of the party leaders had demanded Modi's removal following his reported statement to cover sharecroppers under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme.

Accusing the Centre of "neglecting" Bihar, Hussain said the NDA MPs would continue to raise issues related to the state's development in the forthcoming session of the Parliament.
