Jaipur, Nov 4(PTI) The first Haj flight of Rajasthan today left for Saudi Arabia with 270 pilgrims onboard from Sanganer airport here, an airport official said.

"Rajasthan Home minister Shanti Dhariwal, Medical and Health minister Aimamuddin Ahemad Khan and Waqf minister Ameen Khan flagged-off the first flight at the new terminal of the airport, and wished them good luck for Haj," he said.

Dhariwal on the occasion read the message of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot addressed to the pilgrims, and urged them to pray for peace and prosperity of the state and nation while performing Haj.

Around 4,800 pilgrims from the state are scheduled to go to perform Haj this year, official sources said.
