STAFF WRITER 21:59 HRS IST

Chandigarh, Nov 4 (PTI) After winning the trust vote in the state assembly, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is likely to expand his ministry on Friday inducting six to seven ministers.

Hooda, who took oath as Chief Minister on October 25, is, at present, in Delhi holding discussions with the party high command on the expansion of his one-man ministry.

He is expected to induct six to seven members in the ministry which may include some independents who are propping his Congress government, party sources said.

The Congress, which emerged as the single largest party in the state bagging 40 seats in a 90-member House, formed the government with the support of seven independents.

The veteran Jal leader, chosen by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi for the top job despite decline in party's strength in the assembly, faces a daunting task in constituting his ministry.
