Chennai, Nov 5 (PTI) A top World Bank official today called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to review ongoing projects in the state.

"We were just discussing World Bank programmes in Tamil Nadu, what we have been doing and some ideas for the future.

We had very fruitful discussions," Roberto Zagha, World Bank's Country Director for India, told reporters after his meeting with Karunanidhi.

The state government has taken up World Bank-aided projects in different areas, including health and rural development.
