Chapra, Nov 5 (PTI) An advocate and his bodyguard were today shot dead in Bihar's Saran district, police said.

Four gunmen riding on two motorcycles stopped the vehicle carrying the Patna High Court Advocate Ramprakash Singh and his body guard Sanjay Kumar Singh near a petrol pump at Sarai Batsya and fired at them, killing them on spot, Deputy Superintendent of Police A K Karna said.

Singh was on way to Chapra from Patna to appear in a murder case in the civil court when the incident took place, he said.

Their bodies were brought here for autopsy, he said.
