Kozhikode, Nov 7 (PTI) Ten kg of saffron powder worth over Rs 20 lakh was today seized by customs officials from two persons who arrived at the Karipur International Airport here from Dubai.

The powder was found concealed in milk and biscuit tins in the baggage of the two persons during a search by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence personnel following a tip-off, airport sources said.

The duo, identified as Abdul Rahman Farooq (40) and N P Noushad (35), hailing from Kasaragod district, had arrived here by an Air India Express flight. They were being questioned by DRI officials.
