Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh), Nov 10 (PTI) For Yangsin Tsering, to be personally blessed by none other than the Dalai Lama was the biggest moment of her life and the 21-year-old student used the occasion to pledge she won't lie in her life.

Yangsin was among about 20 devotees personally blessed by the Tibetan spiritual leader at a ceremony held at the Tawang Higher Secondary School playground.

It was a special occasion for the devotees and all of them promised to give up a bad habit or weakness before being blessed by the Dalai Lama.

Yangsin said she told the Dalai Lama that she had earlier lied on occasions. "I said to him that from now on, I will be a changed person," she told reporters.

Ramchin Lama, who runs a hotel here, promised to become a vegetarian and said it was a memorable occasion when the Dalai Lama blessed him.
