Mehrauli case: Poonawala sent to 13-day judicial custody, police grill woman who visited his house post murder

New Delhi, Nov 26 (PTI) A Delhi Court on Saturday sent Aaftab Amin Poonawala, accused of brutally killing his live-in partner in south Delhi's Mehrauli, to 13-day judicial custody as the police grilled a woman who visited his residence after the murder.

Poonawala allegedly strangled his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar, 27, and sawed her body into 35 pieces, which he kept in a 300-litre fridge for almost three weeks at his Mehrauli residence, before dumping those across the city over several days.

A senior Tihar prison official said Poonawala was kept in jail number four where first time offenders are lodged.
