PM Modi congratulates Asian Games medal winners

New Delhi, Oct 3 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated Asian Games medal winners and described the gold-clinching run of Parul Chaudhary in the 5000m event as "awe-inspiring".

"Proud of Parul Chaudhary for winning the Gold Medal in Women's 5000m event. Hers was a performance that was truly awe inspiring. May she keep soaring high and sprinting towards success," he said in a post on X.

Lauding Annu Rani, who also won the gold in the women's javelin event, Modi said her outstanding performance has made India proud. "May she keep aiming high and inspiring us all!" Delhi boy Tejaswin Shankar also made India proud, establishing himself as the country's unrivalled decathlete by clinching a silver in the gruelling 10-event discipline with a national record total of 7,666 points.
