Omar, Mufti recall Musharraf's stand on resolving Kashmir issue

Srinagar, Feb 5 (PTI) Former chief ministers of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah on Sunday said former president Pervez Musharraf was the only Pakistani general who genuinely tried to address the Kashmir issue.

Abdullah also said Musharraf's solution for the Kashmir issue put the interests of the people of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state at the forefront.

Musharraf, 79, died in Dubai on Sunday after battling an incurable disease. He lived in self-imposed exile in the UAE to avoid criminal charges against him in Pakistan.
