IBA doubles prize money for next Women's Boxing World Championships

New Delhi, Mar 24 (PTI) International Boxing Association (IBA) president Umar Kremlev on Friday underlined the governing body's commitment to women's boxing by doubling the prize money for the next edition of the world championships in 2025.

President Kremlev said that gold medal-winners at the next edition of the championships will receive USD 200,000 during his opening remarks at the inaugural IBA Women and Sport Conference, which took place on the sidelines of the Women's World Boxing Championships in the national capital.

The total prize money for this year's event is USD 2.4 million.
